| What If? Written August 18, 2004 Jade C Bell what if? in this darkness I had this dream one night that I died & what if? I went to heaven & what if I saw my wife & what if I just held her in my hands what if I awoke opening my eyes? to see a candle illuminate light mollifying the dark & there she lies my wife’s heart beating next to mine & I smell the lavender in her hair I feel the love within her & I see her shy smile like the innocence in a child as I just hold her in my hands what if what if? |
