Those Who Never Cry Wolf

Written February 26th 2005
Jade C Bell

let beautiful song birds sing this mimes broken words
down the winding roads,
racing against clocks backwards
disjointed within crushed time,
twisting and spiralingan outline
how life can leave us behind,
words of hope I wrote these lines

those who never cried wolf
who would only die for love
lord please don't take my father
for he is all I have

cut it in half,
blind to see a photograph
take the other half,
my mind still hears us laugh
echoing across the vast sea,
summer pasts the family tree
standing still within memory,
having the will not to let go of me

those who never cry wolf
who would only die for love
lord please don't take my father
for he is all I have

streams flow under dreamy rain drops.
our dreams I see & aim as we walk
through lives that we embrace so precious
in a wink of an eye for the two of us
can u hear angels sing our story
of pain as it tangles with glory

without reasons or rhymes,
we seal our fate in its time
so can you feel my tears within,
chase your spirit saturating your skin
a man without fearing the end,
who will live forever in legends
blue eyes that will help guide,
me through this darkness to the other side

those who never cried wolf
who would only die for love
lord please don't take my father
for he is all I have
those who never cried wolf
