| Down by the Riverside Written April 16th 2005 Jade C Bell it is said that all life and love starts and ends in a single beat of the heart clouds cluster in marbled cascades across the sky did you hear the crashing of the thunder after I saw the lightning in your eyes down by the riverside where you were smiling on the outside but crying on the inside down by the riverside was it the darkness above in the skies or the sweet bitterness that all love must die a sheet of rain drops, pour over mountain tops streams of dreams spread like gods fingers bleeds down land, we take hands as blue eyed monsters down by the riverside where I was crying on the outside but smiling on the inside down by the riverside feeling your insides, seeing the love through broken eyes desires that just past bye, black fire lust to ask why if all love is destine to die, were you even there from the start to the end, was I merely the wind in your hair if love is all we got, lets let our hair tangle and knot down by the riverside where we will smile a lot inside and out because there's nothing to cry about down by the riverside where lovers may collide down by the riverside |
